In sage-1.5.1.2, spkg/install includes the lines BZIP2=`$newest bzip2` #BZIP2 = bzip2-1.0.3 export BZIP2 This causes a problem with the build of bzip2 in SAGE, specifically I get : Doing 6 tests (3 compress, 3 uncompress) ... : If there's a problem, things might stop at this point. : : ./
