Yes, I've used gtk-recordmydesktop which renders *.ogg files. I prefer screencast-o-matic as I need *.mp4 files for YouTube and these files are more portable. My students can view them easily in windows, linux or mac environments. I have also used Smart Recorder but it takes forever to rende

You can also use gtk-recordmydesktop in linux, but it is *very important* to set the options correctly, or you may find some clicking sounds. In a reasonably powerful computer, all you have to do is check that the option "encode on the fly" is marked. -- You received this message because you are
