This is slightly off-topic, but: Carl Witty and Jason Grout have a patch on trac #5249 for implicit 3-D plotting (using Jmol or tachyon). It works very well on the examples that I have tried; it does have some issues (as described in the trac ticket), but it should be possible to fix them. Best,
