So in Bart de Smit's talk at Sage Days 23 he gave in an example the
integer 103^100-1 which had to be factored in order to proceed. There
is a very interesting difference between the performance of Sage 4.4
and Magma 2.15-4 here:

At Sagedays 16 David Kohel gave a talk about ECHIDNA, which is a
database of open-source code for MAGMA, and invited people to port it
to SAGE. I am planning to port his code for computing dimensions of
eigenspaces of the Atkin-Lehner operator to SAGE (he has released this
under the GPL)
I have downloaded the images of versions 3.4 and 3.4.1 to run under
