My comment regarding to natty desktop environment, I would prefer use

+1We should wait till 11.10 (I think unity will get a lots of improvements and changes and will be useable and stable enough) and the same for Gnome 3 (because of the feedback from Fedora and OpenSuse users). And we will have enough time to make hijri and minbar and maybe other sofware, too to work
