I have installed the latest version of FreeNAS and I configure the Rsync Daemon
(Server) in order to receive backups from the network.
I check with telnet that Rsync server is up and running.
I open the NasBackup Settings and I have to configure it, but I am having
difficullities:

1) ssh is the default protocol of rsync since 2.6.0, so if you are using a new version you should not have to worry about it.
2) check that you used the command as following:
rsync -e ssh @:~/
that should do the trick (worked for me)

i trying to install rsync and ssh in windows Xp machine, while generating
ssh key generation bat file, iam getting following error messages,
Could not create directory '//.ssh'.
Initializing random number generator...
execv /bin/sh failed: No such file or directory
execv /bin/sh fa
how do you backup system files like /etc/ over ssh to another machine
and keep permissions the same on the remote backup location ?
i tried using -a flag, but because i'm connecting through ssh i'm not using Rsync module on the remote computer and therefore i cant write files as root so -a
