Hello rsync folks
I'm trying to use rsync for backing up our servers. This mostly works extremely
well, with no problems.
However, 1 server is giving me a lot of trouble. It has a directory with
(currently) 734088 files in it, and every time I try to backup this dir, rsync
hangs after transfer

I have no idea regards the problem, but it never hurts to do a
tcpdump (-w, possibly -s) and look at what's on the wire.

I'm trying to connect to one of the mirror sites to get a package update
for Linux server through the proxy server, but after approximately 10- 15
minutes it times out with the following error:
