disregard my last comment, the code does act as you suggest when not using the
ssh as the transport layer. Are there any known work arounds for this behavior?

hi all,
new to the list and couldnt find the answer to this anywhere.
/usr/bin/rsync -rRlHpogtv --stats /www/db/marcadrian/ /x2
building file list ... ERROR: buffer overflow in receive_file_entry
i assume that the list of files is too big for memory? ( i read on the rsync
page about rsync
