You are correct and I am out of the loop. Evidently the client
developer used this approach to solve our Vista problem but I either
forgot or was not informed. Probably the former =)

If I use a commander type program to copy files to the nas machine, there
are no problems.
I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get this permissions problems
sorted out.

I had forgotten to set the permissions on the upload folder on the
remote server. Once I set the perms correctly, it worked. Thanks to
everyone for the help!
