Can we get RID of this member? This is the 2nd time I have seen this
posted. Now after the first time, I figured it would have been put into a
SPAM filter, and thereby the member would not be able to post SPAM to the
list again, but that does not seen to be the case.

I downloaded the files, but I know I did not use an FTP client. I seem to
recall using only my web browser, but the location was someplace other than
samba.org.
I do show that the DNS address for rsync.samba.org, 66.70.73.150, does have
FTP access. The FTP list using IP alone goes up

I do not know what is going on, but either I am getting a large amount of
SPAM that is being submitted to the list, or I am getting a lot of spam that
is sent under disguise as coming from the list, i.e. forged headers.

I have a printout of the manpage, and the -t states to transfer the
modificaiton time along with the file. This is to place the same modication
time on the file when it is transferred, rather than the current time.

The short answer is the DST issue affects volumes using the NTFS filesystem.
The long answer is contained in the Windows KB article that was posted.
I am looking at a solution for this problem, along with a few other issues,
but the solution is a few months off from now.

Fortunately you posted the KB article number, and having read the article, I
see you have a bit of a misunderstanding of what is going on.
First off, NT/2000 uses a offset from GMT, which does not observe Daylight

the archives, and even read what has been posted on the site regarding a Win32
port of rsync. Though I have found a problem with everything. The
URLs for building your own, or downloading the compiled binaries for the Win32
platform are no longer valid. Therei
