It's somewhat contrary to rsync individual file sync, since it suggests we
specifically don't want to sync a particular file. That said, it is in line
with the concept of wanting to sync a (poorly) created series of
eing created/updated as root owned. Can

Do the same userids exist at both ends? Try --numeric-ids as
an option and see if that helps.

ll if possible. I think hpnssh is the right
approach with it's auto tuning and stuff but my expectations
were for higher throughput than I ended up getting.
And it seems that even with 5% packet loss that absolutely
kills performance, can go down 75-90%. Which is the problem
one of my ISPs s
ll (which explains the Broken
Pipe message to stderr). I thought maybe --blocking-io would avoid this
issue, but it still happened when using --blocking-io.
Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this?
