Try running without the compression option (-z) to see if that 'fixes'
the problem. Your previous rsync may have used a static compression
routine, and FC2 uses a dynamic one. Just a guess...
The first rsync to delete the directory is successful because since it

I am running an rsync deamon on a linux box "diesel". If I have no firewall
(iptables) it works fine. If I have a firewall it doesn't work - just times
out. This problem occurs if I open port 873. Any hints? I am sure
there is something simple to do here like open another r
