My own build of rsync preserves Spotlight comments just fine. Those comments
are stored as extended attributes, so as long as you preserve xattrs, your
Spotlight comments should be preserv

I still get this error from time to time, so I suppose it is not fixed in
version 3.0.9. Just downloaded the patch and recompiled will test the next
