If I use -acv for rsync options, what will I choose as default "delete
option"?
--deletedelete extraneous files from destination dirs
--delete-before receiver deletes before transfer, not during
--delete-during receiver deletes during transfer (default)

i installed a new version of rsync on an old solaris machine we have around.
an old rsync was running before, but now neither is running, both
complaining about dependencies,
even though the compiling & install went fine, you can see the error i get
below when i try to run it.

I want to use rsync to backup my machine and I have two file lists. The
first file list is common excludes file list, that I don't want to backup
and restore such as /proc etc.
But i have another file list for restoring. when restoring, I want to delete
some files that are backed up before. that i
