I use rsync to backup some data to an external NAS which has a
rsync daemon running. The problem is that I sometimes have too much
data to store, so the rsync fills up the whole NAS drive until that doesn't
react anymore as it has no space left for the working system.

I would like to write a patch for rsync but need some help getting
started. Here is my situation. I am using cwrsync to copy files from

Note that the chroot+path mode added in rsync 3.0.0 can be used to work around
this problem by having the daemon chroot into a directory containing a correct
/etc/localtime f

both ends, and have seen a date/time discrepancy in the log on the
receiver. The sending machine (machineA) is in US CDT while the receiver
is in US PDT. Both sender and receiver have their time set correctly.
