The attached diff causes rsync to show how much time it spends
on building and sending its filelist. I'd appreciate if you
could consider this change for inclusion in a future release.

2.5.7 (receiver, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3):

I tried to compile rsync 2.6.2 as a 64-bit application
on HP-UX 11.23.
$ CC=cc CFLAGS="-Ae +DD64" configure
$ make
$ make check
'make check' fails with daemon mode tests with the
