Hi,
I currently use rsync to keep numerous machines in sync around our company.
for the most part it works flawlessly. Every so often when copying or updating
some iso images we keep I get the following error:
inflate returned -3 (0 bytes)0:09:03
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stre
Running rsync 5.5 in cygwin on top of XP
Using this command line:
rsync -v -v -v -v -v -r -R -C --delete --delete-excluded --delete-after
--force -t --copy-links ftp.ulatina.ac.cr::splack
/cygdrive/e/software/linux/splack > splackupdt.log
I get either this:

If I use rsync as: rsync -rltva /dir /dir2 it works fine.
If I use rsync as: rsync -rltva hosta::dir it works fine and dir points to
in rsyncd.conf /acct/dir I get the following error:
