Greetings again, i had written a script to use the aes_string method in ggplot2 with rpy2 which worked fin in a previous version. however, the current hg version ('2.1.0dev') throws the following error when aes_string is called as described in the documentation (http://rpy.sourceforge.net/rpy2/doc

SOLVED had inadvertently installed rpy previously. probably due to having downloaded the entire repository (rpy and rpy2 branches). simply followed the instructions here to remove existing rpy installation and reinstalled from the rpy repo here: http://www.bitbucket.org/lgautier/rpy2/ peter On
