Thanks a lot for your reply. I finally still have to export the plot as
csv file in the liveplot, and then plot in Origin, which is more
flexible, although more extra work has to be involved. I like the figure
powplot gives, but the only problem is the font.

I'd only add that powplot has an "A" option for producing an ascii file
with the as plotted values suitable for plotting by gnuplot (or anything
else). Key point - this file contains the as plotted data.

The best (not the fastest) way is to import observed and calculated plots
from CIF file into Excel spreadsheet and then do to the plot whatever is
desired. Reflections can be shown as error but using imported 2theta.
I have template that does scaling, etc. automatically (to some extend).

Do you know how to change the settings for the powplot window in GSAS so
that the figure looks more appealing for publishing? I did find some
"options" in the menu for text size etc, but they do not work. Other
settings, like symbol, length of reflection lines, are also problemat
