I am trying to build and install riak from source on a CentOS 6.2
Machine. I get to 'make rel' and I get:
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
./rebar get-deps
/usr/bin/env: escript: No such file or directory
make: *** [deps] Error 127
Suggestions? Thank you.

It looks like you might be hitting this bug:

It doesn't look like there's an easy fix unless you want to backport the
patch into your current system. :-(
