drag'n'drop your files from rhythmbox to nautilus works great for this
already.

I think the grid-view is referring to the new layout in iTunes 8.
Albumms are presented by covers layed out in a grid. Something like
nautilus icon view but with a regular grid and big covers :)

As a side note, it is often not obvious to the user why you can't edit
some track metadata when for example there is no support for it either
in gstreamer or rhythmbox. Having some kind of message integrated to the
tag viewer dialog would be a nice to have.

afaik, this will be possible with things like tracker 0.7 (unreleased)

RythmBox application and the same things happen.
What about if you read it on a regular cd player ? If it's distorted
there as well, we can pretty much conclude its an iTunes "feature".
Otherwise, there might be bugs in audio ripping libraries somehow.

That's a problem you should report to your distribution bug tracker.
They will know best their own policy about the m

information you already provided plus the ones I'm suggesting as the
mailing is not the preferred way to track bugs.

If you are talking about rhythmbox 3, the plugin has not been ported to python3

someone else is after this feature, whether

what's funny here is that totem used to be like rhythmbox in gnome 2.20
but it seems it switched back to the previous-play/pause-next order.
This makes things inconsistent on the desktop wonder why it was changed
back.
