Hello list.
I set up a Linux server to test the FTP behaviour on a *nix like machine.
After a while the securelog starts to report:
xinetd[24269]: FAIL: ftp service_limit from=10.10.01.132.
The ftpserver is a WU-FTPd version 2.6
Can anybody tell me what this means?

In your maillog, did you see the message delivery attempt time stamp? Was it
immediate? Were there any notices of "host not found"

I recently installed a firewall/router file server computer. I now want
to install SAMBA so the 2 windows machines in my network can access the
printer. But, I did not install in on installation and do not have a GUI
installed in that machine.

I think that someone has already metioned apt-for-rpm and use the apt-get.
This tends to resolve all dependecies well enough and it is console based.

Well, It turns out that we had to completly logout and login again as the
user that was just added to the group.
