I need to capture all the packets sent and received from an ip address,
on the inside of a ipchains firewall.
Here is what I know:
1. The internal ip address of the workstation.
2. The packets are TCP.
I can see the MASQ connection with ipchains -M -L. I need to be able to
capture these packets
I am having a problem installing Redhat 6.2 on a computer that has an
Adaptec 2940U2W controller, and a Western Digital scsi hard drive. When
the install gets to the point where it formats the hard drive the install
hangs.

I am experiencing a problem with a new install of Red Hat 5.0. The
computer is attached to an ethernet network, which has a router as the
default gateway. The install worked without an error, but I am having
network problems. The problem is that after booting the computer, and
then logging on ever
I am running Red Hat version 5, and all I had to do is edit the file named:
system.fvwm2rc
It is located in the /etc/X11/fvwm2 directory, on my system. You may want to
use the find command to find in on yours.
You can just look at the existing menu items, to see how to add more...

First you should create an account for you instead of using the root
account. You have probably heard this before, but you need to do it in
order for your mail to work correctly.
Second once you have created the account, log on as that user, run pine,
and then quit pine. You should now have a .pi

There aren't any errors in the messages file when the windows 3.1
machine logs on, and communications between the PPP server and the
windows 3.1 machine works great. It's just that the windows 3.1 machine,
can't get to any other ip's.
Can anyone offer some help?
Thanks

I tried the proxyarp (as I mentioned in my message), same problem...

I reported the same problem to redhat, but they said it wasn't an
installation problem. So much for tech support...
What you can do is go to adobe's web site at:

and download the acrobat reader (for free). There are instructions in the

I am using mgetty verion 1.0.0, and I am having a problem. When using the
AUTO_PPP option, after the user hangs up, the whole system seems to go
into a tight loop. My only option is to do a reset (yuck!). mgetty works
fine if I log in, and then run pppd from the prompt. The AUTO_PPP session
works
I posted a message here yesterday, about a problem with the computer
locking up after a win95 PPP connect was dropped. I found the problem was
being caused by the "login" option for pppd. Removing this cause the
problem to go away. I don't know why it caused the problem, but removing
it fixed it.
Can someone point me to a HOWTO or some other doc on how to setup
user/group disk quota's? I'm using Redhat Linux 5.0.
Thanks

Are your ip's reverse mapped in your DNS? Some sites won't display unless
they can reverse map your ip. Your router should be reverse mapped by your
ISP, so it would work. The best way to try and see if you are properly
reverse mapped, is to run nslookup and set the server to your isp's DNS.
