their memory :-). Now that's not

I get this on my RH 6.2 system.

error: failed dependencies:
rpmlib(VersionedDependencies) <= 3.0.3-1 is needed by perl-5.00503-11
It looks to me like the attempt to make one RPM for all RH 6.x systems
didn't work or is it just me?

On a related note, is there any way to make wget use passive mode when
getting with ftp://. wget seems to work fine when used with http://,
but I'm behind a firewall and it doesn't work when using the ftp
prefix. I suspect it's because wget uses active mode for the ftp
transfers (I need to use
It's difficult to tell from the original message, but it might be
fixed by just using the monitor settings to shrink the horizontal size
or use xvidtune to adjust the placment. The fact that multiple window
managers have the same problem make me think it's more a setting like
that than a virtual

Oleg,
I was getting ready to reply but finished reading the rest of the
e-mails first and saw the reply I copied at the bottom. I also have
the same modem and experience the same problem sometimes, but not all
the time. With my ISP the problem happens sometimes. When I connect

You never stated what version of RH Linux (or even if you're using
RH), but if you have RH 5.2, you can find many, if not all of the RPMS

site nor RH site explicitly list the HP LaserJet 1100 but I suspect it
uses the same HP PCL language that earlier HP printers used (and
