Try kppp with another dev such as dev/ttsy2. kppp won't work for me with
dev/cuO or /dev/modem but is fine for me with dev/ttyS0. NH.

Hi list,
I've been trying to set up one of your servers to que mail for a domain
and then retrive it using etrn.pl that is in the contrib library of
sendmail.
I've modified my /etc/sendmail.cf like this:
C{CustDoms} mydomain.com
F{CustDoms} -o /etc/mail/CustDoms
and put my domain in /etc/mail/
Just a quick one: What does the option 'grow to fill disk' mean in the
RedHat partitioning tool? Do I need to check it??
Thanks,
Toby.

It means that any space left after all your partitions are made will be
assigned to the partition (or partitions) marked as "grow to full disk".

I believe that you need to download the kernel patch from Compaq, and
re-compile support in for the Smart array controllers. I haven't tried it
myself yet, but I remember reading about it.
Check out the compaq support forums there should be some info there.

Hi,
I have a basice RedHat 6.1 machine with the kernel upgraded to 2.2.13.
I am running the apache server, and i am experimenting with it. I have

but when i try to access it, i get a forbidden access error. The file

Just an idea: RH 6.1 uses 'linuxconf' by default, and "takes over" crontab
functions and will rewrite the crontab file "against your will" if you just
do a 'crontab -e -u root' and edit it manually, it might be getting over
written.
So, you might want to check in linuxconf to see if it has contro
This is probably gonna sound pretty stupid, but how do you set up a dual
boot for nt? I have to install linux on this box, and it has to dual
boot with the existing NT.
I can't remember if there is anything special to get the nt partition to
load properly after the installation of linux.
thanks
I ran into this last weekend. Apparently, /etc/crontab is no longer used.
The equivalent file is now /var/spool/cron/root for vixie cron. Your best
bet is to use crontab -e to edit your crontab file.

No problems running the thing once it's booted - support is already there
(modular) for the 3200. The problem is actually booting off the damn thing
in the first place. I suppose I could just leave the floppy disk in there
forever but I'm not convinced that that is the best 'long term strategic

thanks for your quick response!
One more question though:
In my case /tmp is part of the / partition (that is to say, not in it's own
partition).
Do I just copy /tmp to /mnt/drive2 ?
BTW, drive2 is already installed, formatted, partitioned, and in my fstab
file, and is automounted.
If /mnt/drive
Being sincere, I haven“t noticed that. I usually mark my swap partitions as
grow to full disk, and space is distributed on same quantities, as I make
usually same size swap parts.

Sure! I'm going to assume that your fonts are in the root
of the CD (though I know that's not true!) Modify this
accordingly.
ls -1 /mnt/cdrom/ | awk '{printf ("/mnt/cdrom/%s //%s\n",$1,$1)}' | xargs ln -s
