I face a problem with wu-ftpd 2.6.1 under RH 7.2.
am able to create directories under my default directories as configured
in /etc/ftpaccess with anonymous login
but, access is denied for uploading on sub directories and files under a
directory or directories .

Let me get this right. You want to turn off anonymous FTP for browsers,
but still let anonymous FTP work for connections like telnet, ncftp, etc?

Sorry if this is off topic.
We have wu-ftpd-2.5.0-1mdk on a linux box.The problem is
that since some days ago it was apeared that the daemon
does not logout the anonymous logins from the system
even if the client side uses 'bye' or 'close' etc.
Anybody knows where to start debug

I've deleted wu-ftpd from my systems and am using ProFTPd instead so I
can't send you my anonftp configuration, but:
wu-ftpd is by default set to deny uploads from anonymous ftp users.
You'll need modify the configuration file to allow for uploads.

I have been using the hosts.deny and hosts.allow

as you can see, I've tried 3 separate lines for the upload...
the 'real' directory path is
/home/anon-ftp/ftp.somewhere.com/vendors/
/home/ftp/ is a sym link... (for convenience).
and the 'root' to any anonymous ftp user in this case is
/home/anon-ftp/ftp.somew
