I've only ever use 2.95 on 2.4 kernels except once when I built on RH 7. I've
been using them since they were 2.3.something.
Someone at RH has been testing with 2.96 and had no problems.

this way the installation of a custom kernel would be a lot easier.
with the last snapshot, I got that on boot 4 dependenties unfound, one about
