Xmt library on redhat 6.1

2000-03-21 Thread DANG, Muoi
Hi all, Anyone know Xmt library on redhat 6.1 or anyone has successfully compiled from source? Xmt library is Motif Tools library written by David Flanagan and includes many user interfaces which Motif 1.2 doesn't have. I have compiled under HP-UX but have not successfully compiled under Linux.

When I do the install and choose the option not to format, It also asks me for my account information, root password, etc. I am willing to try that, I'm just hoping I don't lose any data. Another thing that concerns me is that the mount point isn't set for the native partition in Disk Druid.

There's an example below. As far as sending signals go you'd either have to do it through your own proprietary messages through the pipes or you can signal out of band using "kill()" and "signal()" calls. There is no inherent OS method of signaling through a pipe itself. Matt Fahrner Manager of N

I usually just do an install with no reformatting and installing no packages, it puts on the base stuff, but that is easily fixed. There is probably a better way, but I don't know what it is. ---Matt On Tue, 21 Mar 2000 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > Hello Everyone... >

Hi,   I must write a program in C to automate a telnet login to a remote system, execute some tests and pipe the output back to parent. Does anyone know how to setup a two-way pipe between parent and child processes in a C program that both can send and receive signals??   Thanks   John
