I have a stock RH 6.1 FULL install running on my system, and recently I went
to compile 2 KDE related programs that rely on QT2.0x, and even one based on
QT1.44, and almost right away running "make" will fail with a warning along
the lines of:

I have a LX164 alpha. I mirrored RH6.1 to a local hd and tried to install
from it. When that failed I also tried to install via ftp. Both
installations fail at the same place, when the package list is being read.
Anybody else having problems with alpha installs?

Hello,
I install RedHat6.1 from an NFS directory instead of the RH6.1 CD.
I would like the installer to take releases of rpm different than the
one defined on the CD. I tried to copy the newest rpm versions in the
RPMS directory but the installer does not seem to care.
Where is the mapping define
