By no means should you ever put a lubricant on threads. Grease will
lubricate and reduce friction. Friction is what holds the threads tight
against each other. If it's SS into SS you know already to use
anti-seize compound which contains powdered metal, nickel/silver or
copper/orange.

I also recall that MC was on a tear for years, especially at trade
shows, confronting any unauthorized competitor connector maker that
implied that theirs were compatible with MC products.

One other suggestion is, whatever internal combustion device you have,
switch at first oil change to 100% full synthetic engine lube and never
go back. Guaranteed 50% longer between changes and far better
performance. My 2 ¢...

both were replaced. As for repairs I don't do 3rd party
repairs, customers typically see the value in a new or refurbished
inverter.

I would have figured that everyone in the PV industry would know about
anti-seize compound by now. SS to SS or SS to Al is prone to seizing
even when not over-tightened. Dis-similar metals everywhere can be
vulnerable to seizing.
