A client of mine visited his remote cabin a few days ago to check in on things.
He has a Radian 8048A/FX80 w/ 2kw PV. When he shutters the place for the winter
he turns the inverter off, sets AGS to OFF, and only the FX80 is left on. When
he tried to turn the inverter on at the Mate 3
Have him take the cover off of the inverter and plug the Matt directly into the
inverter. Boot up. Listen for fans to spins up. Have him take a photo of the
LED clusters located on the two visible boards of the inverter brains.

Don’t we have to purchase all three boards? Seems like they were a couple of
grand?

If the inverter is under warranty and is not functioning, Outback can send a
Spare-204 board stack. Otherwise, yes, about $2k. “those less” means those LEDs
on the boards indicate the internal operation status and can tell OB tech
support the exact failure mode.

They can get stuffed with data and lock up, the old Mate 3 was more prone
but they can all do it.
