Jerry,
I'm looking at all the lithium options out there for an application
phycisist client who wants a lithium backup system. Can you elaborate on
why Simplify is slow low on your list?
Thanks,
Howie

Hey Howie,
I would recommend staying away from them as well, I had a
faulty battery out of the box and it was a nightmare to get them to warranty
it, took about 2 months of back and forth for them to agree to warranty the
battery. Discover has an excellent YouTube video on the b
Hi Howie,
My main reason is zero monitoring.
And that is the reason all cabling is supposed to be the same lengths, to try
and use each battery equally because they don’t talk to each other.
It’s why I like the Discoverer. Many batteries have Bluetooth info, but they
have that and external g
We have a customer whose HOA is disapproving his plans to install all black
panels on the front (south facing) roof of his house. Does anyone have any
suggestions about getting this project through. In my opinion, HOAs should
not be able to stop a solar project.

Check state and local regulations first. Suggest home owner recruit allies of
other home owners. Then it’s a matter of diplomacy.

WrenchesYes HOA's might be able to restrict pv under state law depending on
your state, in Hawaii the rule is multi-family joined over 2 stories they can
say no, they can also restrict size to. You need to read the AOAO rules, know
the state law pertaining to your particular type of structure.
Agree with Jay and adding they are too small in capacity. Even the
Discover at 6.6kwh is on the edge. However, as Jay said, they do talk with
each other and have a mode where they will work with Outback and Magnum.
They are the cats meow on a Schneider system as there is not much to
program. Dave
Thanks Jerry. This project is in Ohio

Looks like HOAs can block solar in Ohio. Here's a link to Ohio info that may
help negotiating an easement

What folks need is a right to sunshine. Kinda goes with clean air and wat
Ck the current “solar access” laws, I haven’t felt with that in years, but
when we did a lot of residential solar there were laws, at least in
California that prohibited HOA’s from doing that.

If you download the Discover Installation manual, page 6 and 7, they
state the cables should also be the same length.
