Do any of you have experience removing graffiti from solar modules?
Any tips for do’s and dont’s?
Thanks

HI Will,
Here are my recommendations
1. try to find out how loud it is. Most new ones are much louder than your old
SF. Fans and all that. And they do run a lot of hours per day due to small
compressor size.
2. get one that is repairable locally, much higher failures today than 10 years

Will, not only did we get tired of the lack of freezer space and water on
the floor (or creating a science experiment in the back of the refrigerator
when the 1/4" drain got plugged up with food scraps), but all the hardware
breaking or shelves crashing was a major annoyance...
After the new fridge
Help us with this Benn. Are we talking spray paint, airgun, acrylic,
crayon, lipstick..? Recently, due to not having any rain for 3.5
months in smokey with ash No. California, I referred to the REC website
for cleaning PVs and they didn't suggest anything stronger than a

If your modules don't have anti reflective coating then you can scrape them
with a sharp razor blade scraper. Goo Gone or one of the similar products
might help at well.

Kenmore did have good appliances for years but a great many of them were
made by other manufacturers and marketed under the Kenmore label. But
those days are over and recently Kenmore has been rumored to be either
sold by Sears or simply disappear. Sears itself may not last long
either. I'd s
I've got a can of GooGone Graffiti remover, that starts softening spray
paint in 30 seconds, but obviously, it is really strong. I'd only use it
with no anti-reflective coating and put masking tape over all the edge
seals. I've used a plastic scour pad, like those safe for Teflon pans.

Bill,
It’s white, does that help? ;)
Kidding aside, I couldn’t tell you precisely what type of paint they used.
These are CSI mods and their manual doesn’t mention using anything other than
water and a “gentle cleaning implement” (soft sponge, for example). I have seen
some module manuals ment
I like soft start and programmable defrost during daylight hours. Look
at the LG 22 cubic foot inverter. Also when looking at energy star keep in
mind they inflated the US numbers 4 years or so back, and the Canadian are
the old numbers. I look at both! If in a ambient temperature neutral home I

How aggravating, they really worked hard to get up there too. Have you
tried a little test spot with various methods? WHo knows it might come
off with soap and water and some scrubbing.

I know this isn't what Will is looking for, but just in case anyone still
needs a 12/24vdc model frig, I got an ARB 60 qt at the beginning of the
summer, and it's been a champ. Especially for mobile applications, it
doesn't need to be level.

It’s also worth mentioning SunDanzer; they has upright AC & DC fridges, plus
chest models. David Bergeron is very responsive & helpful.
While I agree w/ the advice for most people to go conventional & AC, there is
still a place for Sun Frost-like products. My SF RF-12 is still running from
