The Sonnen offering is a rebadged and integrated Outback Radian with all
those features. I believe it is 48V.

the communication cable IS required, to switch the Sunny Boys
from grid tie to off-grid mode, in the event of a grid failure.
This is true for the older SB U series, while one is able to move the rotary
switch on the TL series of inverters. This grid/off grid setting is also able
to be adjusted
FYI….the Sonnen battery mentioned below is made by Sony.

I’m not sure the Powerwall actually exists yet. Our utility, Green mountain
Power, has announced a pilot program using them in selected residential
applications, but they have no product at this point to my knowledge.
And I don’t think SE optimizers are compatible with Sunpower, if not for other
SE and SunPower are compatible. SunPower has recently started providing SE

I have an off-grid customer for whom I replaced a set of 8 Trojan L-16s as
well as upgrading her inverter and charge controller. Right after the job,
we found several batteries with low specific gravity. We spoke with the
local distributor and received two replacement batteries.
William,
Those default settings are suited for sealed batteries, not flooded. While
each battery manufacturer's charge protocols are somewhat different, I
would definitely follow Trojan's recommendations as best possible in this
circumstance.

SolarEdge was definitely NOT purchased by SunPower.
SunPower did, however, purchase SolarBridge out of Texas.
