If the SW4048 were being operated in an AC coupled arrangement it should be okay to pass AC coupled power through as it is UL1741 certified. The more stringent requirements for the line tied inverter would then fall to the GTI backfeeding it, at least as I understand things. I was under the impr

Kirk, I think there are a couple of subtleties that you're missing in your post. All of the SW series that we installed in grid-tied mode prior to Trace/Xantrex losing its 1741 listing - mostly Y2K installations - are still in use legally, as they were grandfathered in.
