Sealed batteries do not require a vent , therefore no air
passage - less influence of ambient exterior temps to the
bank. Perhaps on a small bank this would have an influence.
On a large bank in a low usage scenario, IE: second home
with no one home, the system may be full by 10AM and the fan
run

The manufacturers that I've read, do say they should be in a vented enclosure.

In the past 2 months, I've had 2 separate clients with 48 volt SW systems
have their TM500 stop resetting amphours - even after there is no current
flowing into the bank for hours. The meter never goes below "0" amp hours
and always shows "Full" SOC. These are TM500s that have behaved pr
