I have had only one callback out of 3 AZ225s installed.
The E-W gearbox, a sheetmetal design had a weephole that was plugged during
manufacturing. After over 2 years of flawless operation, the trapped
moisture broke down the grease and the gears failed.

Hi Bill,
Other than good resolution for a lower range of resistance to ground, are
there any other bells and whistles for a Megger Tester that you'd suggest
or recommend?
Thanks,

Allan,
Thanks for the update. I will be open to specifying trackers again,
at least for grid tied systems. I appreciate the quantification of
the costs and efficiencies.

I don't have data (yet) on systems we've installed but the Sanyo brochure
has a rough chart on the second page which might be worth looking at if you
haven't already:

We are looking to do our first installation using the Sanyo bi-facial module
and we were wondering if their was an installation guide for this puppy,
especially since the frame appears to be non standard and possibly
anticipates some irregular mounting schemes.

Hi Wrenches,
I'm shopping for a 72 panel, fixed, ground mount. What are your
favorites for arrays in the 10 KW+ range?
Thanks in advance,

August,
A very annoying aspect of this manufacturer's brochure is that the cute bar
graph has a fairly large error. What the heck does "Daily Average Power
Generation" mean. I think they mean energy. Just a nit-picky pet peeve of
mine that we see too often in the energy world.

I also have a linksys that works fine on either my Magnum or Vanner inverters.
HOWEVER, I'm in the process of getting wireless out of my house, especially the

me too) as I listened to my local Public Radio interview
Sanyo will listen to constructive criticism .They learned their lesson the hard

Have watched trackers go from crap to fairly solid designs over the last 30

Hehe, good points. I didn't notice the fine print to the right of the chart.
It will be interesting if any wrenches out there are able to obtain actual
side by side data and report back. Otherwise I suppose this is all
speculation.

Bill,
I am not going to go off about Sanyo modules, especially the bifacial
brand. However I will say this.
I have installed a lot of residential systems with their panels. I
installed a system at a retired engineers home last summer and he is

Doug,
That is why I made the comment that their panels tend to be underrated (a
good and rare thing). One of the reasons is due to the article that Joel
posted a link to earlier (the Japanese govt. hammered them for overrating).

It's just a pity that our solar system only has a single sun. This product
was really built for a 2-sun solar system. It is nice to have a module that
looks good from underneath. That is probably the biggest benefit. To claim
any improvement other than aesthetics is difficult. I have seen data that
