looking forward to taking one of these apart after pressing the buttons a
couple thousand times over the last 2 decades.

I second the Deoxit, I've seen it work miracles on old electronics,
potieometers, etc. They make different formulas, more agressive
cleaning, vs lubing vs protection.,

Sometimes a q-tip with alcohol will revive these as often dirt/ corrosion stops
the contacts from working... but the disassembly to get to that area is the
hard part.
