The IMO style that I I’ve used is identical to Burt’s photo. Just a switch, no
overcurrent protection.

Jay,
I saw one of their boxes, I believe it was the E-08W, on a job I recently
inspected and I found the quality of the boxes to be pretty cheap. One of the
posts that receives the screw for the cover was broken off and another was

I'm happy to see others are using that PVC j-box from Sceptre. No screws to
rust out! We use that JBX### line of boxes extensively.

Hi Jay,
We have been using them at ground mounted arrays to allow us to de-energize
anything in the trench (DC).
They work fine, but need a little planning because of limited interior space
for conductor bending and conduit entry points.
We order them direct from IMO.

Hey Jay,
Check out industrialcontroldirect.com. I found a 1000 vdc Nema 3R disco for
$200. very compact. They appear to use the same switch mechanism as Solaredge
inverter discos. UL/ETA listed and passed my local AHJ. Lots of similar discos
for different voltages.
