We are also hearing very good reports of longevity with Kestrel's too.
For instance, there is one (110) in Hawaii that has been running with a
Classic without any trouble for about 3 years now.

We are having some success with a Kestrel turbine here on Scoraig
I second the idea that Ampair offer a modest but very robust range of products
for high wind sites.

There is not a SWWP manufacturer representative on this list.
But somebody just posted a Sunforce message on the AWEA small-wind list that

It is interesting that when you download the manual for the Sunforce
400, you get a 2002 vintage SWWP Air-X manual.

Dan,
You're right, I smell something and it's not a rose!
I was told that the Sunforce is a Chinese product.
There is nothing certified on or in that turbine and I would not

I had not heard anything about a SWWP/ Sunforce relationship

Hi Dick,
Kestrel is going through certification at this time. This is good news,
as this
will help them enter the US market with some established credibility.
It has the potential to be a good turbine. And with the Eveready battery

The turbine spinning has no relationship to actual power into the battery bank.
If you can't get it into the air a ways don't bother at all, just add
more solar or a larger battery bank.
They might spin at 15' but they accomplish absolutely nothing.

Hi Drake,
The Air 403/ Air-X/ Air Breeze/ whatever it's name is now, is fairly
dependable.
In most wind regimes it's the equivalent of a 10 or 20 watt solar
module but
seems to work just fine. FYI- it's ~ 200 watts or so.
It's not the quietest thing thou
