Hi Marco - You might want to check with SunPower again, my understanding is
that they are planning on releasing a PID solution (it might be the iLumen
PIDbox). I don't know about timing or other details at this point.

Aloha all,
For those of us solar peeps who have installed positive grounded SunPower
mods years ago that require grounding in order to perform properly, I/we
have been impatiently waiting for SunPower or *someone* to offer a device
(see attached) to allow for the pairing of positively ground arrays

PID is caused by many factors, the capacitive nature of a solar panel and
materials ( cheaper, thinner encapsulants and backsheets and cell surface
treatments to get more efficiency to name a few). The new marketing battle

Hi Drake,
There are a few papers that go into PID, including one form SMA (simple
google search).

http://files.sma.de/dl/7418/PID-PVOBox-TI-en-10.pdf
In short, it mostly depends on the module construction and
My 2 cents worth here says that this PID problem is the same as the
negative ground problem that occurred with the
Sun Power modules that wanted to be positive grounded. Last I heard,
from Sun Power was that they
have basically gotten around that issue and are "ground agnostic" as
