In my experience, when the LFP batteries are connected in an "Open Loop"

battery. When connected in closed loop comms, you can set this for much
shorter (1/3 to 1/2) as the battery has control over the absorb timers

Hi Jeremy
When I’ve watched eg4 inverter/battery closed loop do its thing, it spends
seconds at top voltage setting.
Depending on what CC settings you have, just a few minutes is all you need.

Other LiPO4 brands seem to have very short absorb times. Simpliphi,
Fortress, and Home grid all are 0.1 hrs or 15 minutes, depending the
settings available on the CC.

I fully agree that off grid solar has taken a major downturn. Once the
equipment became software based, the reliability dropped. Sure, there
are nice features available with these cyber enhanced systems, but the
cost in reliability makes being energy independent off the grid hard to
accomplish.
