Todd,
See IRC sections 25D and also 136 if there is a utility paid incentive, as any utility paid incentive may affect how 25D is applied.
You may also want to see Sections 280A(d)(1), 280A(d)(2), and 280A(f)(1) for the definitions.

William, the only explanation that I have found for using THWN-2 in conduit run through the attic is that during the day as the temperature in the attic increases, the air in the conduit expands, at night the opposite effect happens, the temperature in the attic decreases and the volume of air in t

In Florida generally speaking, the average life for a composite shingle roof is 20 years even though the manufacturer often provides a 25-40 year shingle warranty.

Drake,
The sunny boy design tool assumes a max grid voltage of 240 (I have version 1.56 that allows you to select 250vAC as the max on screen #2), if your grid voltage exceeds the grid design voltage then the minimum mpp design voltage needs to increase along with it in order to maximize your kWh

Have you tried SAM from NREL? Or a custom spreadsheet?
NREL also has a new spreadsheet out for calculating IRR and ROI with PBI's, however it is a bit convoluted (ridiculous number of inputs) and uses a generic kWh calculation instead of a normal modeled output.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for or not, however Dr. Perez in Albany NY was working on developing a weather based performance guarantee for NY. It may help with your research.

Marco,
I believe some of the discussions in the past had to do with the old 6kW imbalance limit that is used by several utilities on a 120/240 small residential single phase transformer. (don't remember the CA utility that came up with this)
I had this discussion with our local utility (FPL) rece

If you are looking for an equation for the measured ac output in watts to
compare to STC, then solarpro mag had an article in OCT/NOV 2009 along with a
