So if anyone knows of an internet-based service that can monitor DC (my
5.5kW Outback system) *and* AC (my 6.0kW Fronius IG Plus system), I'd
appreciate hearing about it.

The BFS caps have a little fill indicator window. If it's white, the cell is
full, if it's black, the cell is low. A quick visual inspection will show if
you've got any non-fillers. (Floats stuck in the closed position, and yes,

Just for the record, I'm enthusiastic about the other new SatCon inverters.
They're efficient, and logically laid out for easy connection in the field.

with all PV prices tumbling, they've been even less attractive. I think the
immediate future for Chinese modules will be developing country projects,

Whoops! Careful with Solectria Kirk. Their LARGE inverters, 13kW and up,
are made in Mass. Their smaller residential inverters, 5kW thru 3kW are
made in Taiwan, and the 2.5 and 1.8KW units are made in eastern Europe.

Jay, there was a bulletin from Evergreen earlier this year about their
modules being used in positive ground systems. I don't remember the exact
details (and I'm not at work now), but the gist was avoid positive ground
till we make some modifications. Please check w/Evergreen on Mond
