Hello, this is from an old guy. In the 1960s, our project found that hydrogen tended to migrate through electrolyzing and could put hydrogen into an oxygen tank. Energy is involved in pressuring the hydrogen. All piping has to be more than 5% chrome to prevent hydrogen embrittlement. The Gibbs fun

All, www.encap.energy - batteries www.enapter.com - H2 components Any thoughts on capacitive storage, and specifically Encap capacitive batteries with H2? I have a customer with his heart set on using these batteries etc.for a major RE system expansion. Already using an Enapter sourced electro

[RE-wrenches] Enphase Firmware Mismatch Issue

2025-02-20 Thread Jason Szumlanski via RE-wrenches
This is a PSA for Enphase installers. There is a known issue with new systems that have a mix of two firmwares out of the box. The last few systems we have installed had microinverters from different batches with the below two firmwares. It causes all of the r06 microinverters to intermittently sto

If you go back and look at the stock price, Enphase was just about to go bankrupt in the 2017 period. They had just released their IQ micros which were quite reliable but were riddled by a bad reputation from prior generations with high failures, particularly M190/M210s. We were one of those compan

Around here, AHJs require that the GEC is not connected to the service disconnect or any supply-side interconnected PV AC disconnect. They require a GEC from the meter socket enclosure to the GE system with a N-G bond in the meter enclosure (the N and G lugs are one and the same typically anyway in

I made a decision to go w Enphase when Solar Edge was a viable competitor.  I did not like some aspects of Solar Edge, and I am glad I went with Enphase. I only install on this small island, 22 systems starting with M250's. Average project is 16 modules.  I have had only one microinverter failu

Thanks Cory, I think that the supply side connection may require the irreversible splice since it is considered a service entrance. In some cases, the GE is not easily accessible (under concrete for example) to add a GEC to the GE directly. In any case, my AHJs do not like the split bolt connect
