Hi Kirk, the maximum actual charge rate is 5kW per Powerwall. When you
exceed that, or start getting full batteries, the Gateway tells the
Powerwalls to frequency shift to 62-66 Hz.
This takes the UL 1741 listed inverters out of the sweet spot, and they
stop or curtail production. However, predict
What do folks recommend for 1000vdc 2 circuit 12 amp lightning arrestors?
I would like it to fit onto DIN rail inside a Fronius 10kw.
Thanks

I've had good luck personally with the Blue Sea ACR. It's automatic
and solenoid-based, so while there's some parasitic draw, there's
essentially no voltage drop. (The "Sure Power Multi Battery
Isolator" seems to be diode based.) They are also bidirectional.
If you'd like, it sounds like you c
Hi All,
I am adding solar to a boat, which is new for me. There are three
batteries: one for each of two engines (both of which can also power DC
loads), and a house battery connected to an inverter for AC loads on the
boat. All three batteries are able to get charged from the two engine
alternator
They used to advocate 7.9kW AC/DC per Powerwall. That number may have gone
down recently. Coupling an inverter on the line side of the backup gateway
will resolve your issue of meeting homeowner demand. Tesla will want you to
add a CT to that inverter to ensure it does not mess up their monit
Hello all,
I am adding more PV to an orphaned Powerwall 2 AC system (which is all new to
me), -3- PW's stacked to total about 40kwh of usable storage. it presently has
about 13kw of PV, though -2- SMA inverters, feeding into it through a common
subpanel between the PW gateway and the main panel.
