Wow, I just got back from over seas myself, went through multiple
checks, and have never had a problem with the probes on my meters. I
always carry those on. I mean they're not really worse than a pen,
pencil, paper clip, etc

Hi Jay - I was busted for the probes in Canada. Too sharp. Fortunately it
was a tiny airport and my checked bags were right outside on the tarmac, so
the nice Air Canada lady went out and put the probes in.
So now I check the probes, and carry on the meter.

and the bag was inspected, not worth the hassel, check it.
