Dan,
That's right about the unprotected DC + main. Trace used the
inverter GJ, so turning off DC loads required turning off the DC to
the inverter - which meant reprogramming it afterward. And it used a

Look at HDPE. It is a fused pipe, very tough, flexible, available in a

I'm replacing an old Solarjack pump with a similar Sunpump in a tiled well
about 12' deep. I'd like to find a flexible water pipe so I can leave enough
coiled in the well to pull the pump straight out to dry land without
disconnecting. Standard poly pipe kinks too easy. Thanks.

Dave, it's 6 T-105s and over the winter the only load is the CC and
inverter. Temperature is unknown, though likely gets to -20F. There is
insulation, not that it does any good if they are not charging to capture
some heat.

HI Dan,
All the big three have the same wiring diagrams with a positive buss and then
breakers going out from there.
And yes there is no main disco for the DC branches.

Hi Allan and Jay,
I second the golf cart battery option. Trojan T-105s seem to be the
most bang for the buck. An 800 W array wouldn't stir up the
electrolyte sufficiently in an L-16. Maybe the backup generator
would. What all is she running?

Hey Dan,
Interesting voltage numbers. How many T-105's in this system and what is the
load? What is the temperature of the battery bank?
Thanks,
Dave

Esteemed Wrenches;
This creeps me out too and sometimes causes lack of sleep.
The Midnite Solar power panel install manual shows no OCPD on in DC + main

control those conductors, but then you have a "self destruct" switch if
