It wasn't Siemens, it was Beacon Power, primarily a flywheel energy
developer in Massachusetts. They continued to offer the Multi-Mode
GTBB inverter for awhile, but the GC-1000 was immediately
discontinued. You might contact them for more info -

Many years ago, I had the opportunity to remove four of the old Advanced Energy
Systems GC-1000-SA inverters and replace with a single Fronius IG-5000. If I
remember correctly, the PV modules were SP-65s!

OK if the X240 blows the fuse which is on the output of the inverter while
the inverter is charging, excessive current must be passing through from
one inverter and back to the output of another inverter ( a form of AC
coupling gone bad). The time delay fits as the inverter ramps up, I wo
