Outback has a plate that is used for the dc brakers it works well for
multable SI's and there you put all the fuse protections (class T) or
equivilent. I am designing a system with 9 SI's and there we got a cluster
box.

Why dont you use the m250 anyway as the 250's so far are more reliable then
the 215 have been. A little off topic i know.

This is something I think about regularly. I guess I don't have a good answer.
I will be interested to hear what the more veteran installers have to say. My
climate (-50F regularly during the winter) is much different than yours
however.
To add to the question, how does climate change your

I have checked out the Midnite purpose-made BOS cabinets for Sunny Island
inverters. My problem is they must be co-located with the inverters. The OCPD
needs to be closer to the batteries than this usually allows. If your

I had a tough customer recently that grilled me on how we can put a 270W
solar module on a 215W inverter. Fortunately, Enphase has a wonderful white

demonstrated that higher output panels in many climates (hot SW Florida

products. My one grievance is the 'tap' error you mention. We have units
from more than 5 years ago where this method of failure is the norm in
grid-tie battery backup mode. Basically, the power goes out, the SI rela

It was only recently that I started working on Sunny Island systems. I have
inherited two systems from installers that have flaked out and/or could not
resolve problems. Both systems are operating unreliably for a number of
reasons.
Both systems suffered from chronic generator s
